Expertise
Neurodivergence
There remains a critical lack of awareness and understanding of the impact of unrecognised sensory differences and pathological demand avoidance (PDA) in children – particularly those who become involved with the youth justice system.
Our practitioners have deep, specialised expertise in developing awareness and understanding of neurodivergence, helping professionals to better understand and support the children they work with.
We also specialise in supporting neurodivergent professionals to work effectively, sustainably and with confidence within complex professional environment, without compromising their wellbeing or identity.
Youth Justice
We have extensive expertise in the field of youth justice, developed through working with teams nationwide. This includes providing supervision for case and service managers, reparation workers, victim support workers and administrative staff.
Through this work, we have built strong insight into how developmental trauma and neurodivergence affect child development, and the specific support professionals in this sector require.
Education
Our expertise in education has been developed through decades of direct experience supporting children and young people with complex needs, educators, and therapists working within schools.
Our experience includes direct therapy, clinical supervision, senior pastoral leadership, leadership of multidisciplinary therapeutic teams, and established clinical leadership within SEMH school environments.
Our breadth of experience ensures our practitioners have a deep, current understanding of the education sector and the complex systems that support children and families.
Immigration
Our international project work, including in Cambodia and the Palestinian West Bank, has informed our deep understanding of the effects of trauma on children and adults living in hostile environments, and the complex impact immigration can have on a child’s identity and development.
